Braking so hard to avoid it you lock up all 4 wheels on a dry road.
Having been driving for 11.5 hours the length of france, that was not needed.

Don't swerve. Trees are harder than deer.

A proper metal bumper. I've hit a deer going 30 MPH in this truck. Did zero damage.

Driving from Spa in Belgium, down to about an hour south of Pau, via Paris. Was a fairly long old day.

Thankfully I used the toll roads, so wasnt too busy. it was just about 1200km :/ so with stops for lunch and jazz. LONG!! but atleast at 130km/h you feel like your making progress, and a 4 hour stint in a car without cruise control was doable.

Having a car that goes under the moose +1.
Deer are easy, try a moose or a bison. They'll kill ya.
